Need help choosing an amp :)

Re: Need help choosing an amp :)

Look into the Blackstar amp lines as well. Most of them might be a little out of your price range, but they are A LOT of bang for the buck. I was considering an HT-5 before went "**** it!", shelled out twice the money and got a Marshall 2244C instead. The HT-5 would still have been an awesome choice, though.

Re: Need help choosing an amp :)

Got an amp today.

Called up the guy who had the Valvestate 8080 and snagged for a ultra low price... So I have an amp for band use, that should be able to do some decent tones, until I can afford a JCM800 in a few months. It aint halfbad actually, once you get the volume going it works quite well and can do some decents high gain tones :)

Any recommended settings for the 8080?

Thanks for all the help, sorry that it was such a hassle. Living in a country with 55% income tax, 25% import tax and various added taxes makes it very expensive to buy gear. But thanks for a all the great suggestions, some great amps on here. Cant wait to leave Denmark one day, and get to a country with better priced gear :)

Now the decision.. To save up for a 2203 or a SLO.. Got a year to think so what the hell :(

Save for a Cornford MK50 mate, it would suit your needs.... I doubt you'd regret it!
