If I am not posting this in the right forum please let me know. I built a bass and installed the SD basslines MM pickup and the Tone circuit accordingto the diagram on the SD site. If I turn the volume and treble knobs up I get a lot of hiss. This happens even with the pickup disconnected. It doesn't matter if I shield the control cavity or not. Grounding the bridge helps a little bit. I am considering sending the unit to SD but I would like to know if anybody knows of any fixes? Hopefully I explained the situation. Any ideas?

Maybe you wired it in single coil mode?
