New Marshall JVM

[Predatory Mindset]

Has anyone gotten to play around with the new Marshall JVM yet?

I've been on the looking out at the local guitar shops, but no one has them in yet.

Tell me what you think about it.

Well, i like the idea of four channels, but i have played some of the other newer marshalls like the DSL and it didn't impress me for for the price. I think that for a couple hundred more you could get a mesa roadster and have more versatility and a better sound. Also, the carvin v3 is a similar amp for almost half the price of the marshall.

I played a JVM about a month ago for about 45 minutes. I agree that the Carvin V3 is a much better amp. My JSX sounds WAY better than that Marshall. Of course I didn't have time to put an OD pedal in front, but I did get to crank it up a bit.:smokin:

For the price, I would much rather go with a Mesa Roadster.

There are other Marshalls out there that (probably) sound the same for a lot less...

Oh yeah, i forgot about the peavey jsx, now that is a killer amp.

Yes i played the Combo.
It was typical Marshall dsl crunch with lot's of options.
I allways liked the JCM 800 cleans and it's similar IMHO.(i tested the cleans only for 2 mins.but was fine)
The options are cool and the amp has a very good price!But it's typical Marshall ,wich is not my cup of coffe!

i'm never a fan of Marshall...

tried the JVM 2 days ago, bought it yesterday... the JVM's 12 voicings are based on their popular JCM800/ Plexi/ DSL but not a direct clone.
