Rock machines ... and even double creams!
I posted a pic of my 'burst Artist the other day on facebook ... that thing sounds so good with the Seths!
I went to the trouble of oiling the fretboard, and polishing the frets with steel wool -- a first for me ... guitars deserve a little TLC now and then.

Thanks everyone. I do like me some Hamers. Both pickups have been changed. The Natural one is actually Trans Yellow turned Amber with age. I have owned that since Jan. 1990. It is an '81. Second owner.
Andy played the Sunburst model for the most part but I bet you are right. He probably would like it. Sunburst model had binding to the body and neck. Special came after the Sunburst offering the unbound body and the rounded edge to the top.

Get yourself a couple old Hamers JeffB you wont be sad about it. I predict they will be back.
Rick and I have actually had a conversation or two about his influence on my owning 60+ guitars. Thank Gawd for inexpensive controlled secure storage.
The FB, as much as I wanted one, it wasn't as good a feel as a Standard is. Plus I am a klutz with a Floyd and I already have 4 well 3 now Floyd loaded guitars. That is one of the reasons I traded an '8? Steve Stevens 1 for this Special.
Psykel, it is SOOO Special I had to have three. :headbang:

Oh man, Mean Gene, that thing is a beauty. Your penchant for double creams work so well in it, too. I hope to make it back down that way again, someday, and give it a workout!
