New Project - Warmoth Mahogany with Flamed Redwood Top

Re: New Project - Warmoth Mahogany with Flamed Redwood Top

A big thumbs up to the Bill Lawrence L-500's.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to giving them a go. I have a Dimebucker that I love but am looking forward to trying out the shielded (real) Bill Lawrence L500s

Coming along nicely. That will be a real eye catcher when it's finished.

Man, that redwood is un-friggin-real!

Thank you very much! I think the Redwood is just amazing–love the wood grain!

Also, I am so glad that I let Thane (worked for Fender and Guild) decide on what to do as far as colors–the natural finish just makes the top pop IMO.

Re: New Project - Warmoth Mahogany with Flamed Redwood Top

Ran into a hiccup with the Bill Lawrence pickups and decided to go a different route. Changed things up and went with a Phat Cat in the neck and a Pearly Gates in the Bridge. I am a dork though, I ordered a Zebra Pearly Gates and the Chrome Phat Cat (which only comes in Gold and Chrome, although a forum bro gave a link for black covers that could carefully go on there.) Thought it I don't dig the Pearly Gates then I can go with something else with a Chrome Cover OR if I don't like the Phat Cat then I can go with something else in Zebra...doesn't look too bad IMO but its not matching. lol

Here's the update pic, guitar should be done this weekend. :)

It looks good. B&W may not be your first color choice, but how does it sound? After all, that's one of the two main concerns for a guitar (the other is how it plays).

Unfortunately couldn't pick it up this weekend (it is in Nashville and I'm in Atlanta) and with my schedule I will not have time to pick it up until the first weekend in December. :soapbox: lol
