New Schecter LP guitar coming soon.

Re: New Schecter LP guitar coming soon.

As a Les Paul guy, I really like this guitar.. I've owned one Schecter and it was really well built and played great.
I have an LTD H1001NT which is built in the same factory as Schecter in South Korea and it jams!
I play that guitar quite frequently..

Re: New Schecter LP guitar coming soon.

No Trans Black or Trans Amber?

edit:
Not diggin' teh p/g at all,either...

Trans black would def work for me!! P/g - easily removed.

Haven't played their single cuts but every C-type Schecter I've played from their lowest-end to their high-end looked, felt and sounded as if it cost significantly more than it actually did.

Still pretty bummed that I never got to actually own one (gotten close once or twice but always something got in the way)

Yeah, da** bills always get in the way of our enjoyment dont they bro?

Someone mentioned traditional knob layout. Visually, the 3 knobs is cleaner, and seems MOST single cuts from other manufacturers come with the 3 knob layout, most likely to help avoid infringement. But, the player me likes the separate volumes and tones. Sadly, I sold one of the biggest sounding guitars Ive ever had due to my knob preference. LTD EC400ATS. From now on, I WONT let that stand in the way..

Re: New Schecter LP guitar coming soon.

It will probably have XJ frets like almost every Schecter. FAIL

I wish I hadn't opened this thread. :banghead:

That thing is gorgeous. Nice price too. I have two Schecters. Both sweet, well built guitars.

You know, dual-ganged pots for guitar are pretty common these days. My Squier Jag has that setup. So four knobs look like two. You'ld only have to replace the tone pot to have a true 2+2 control layout.

Re: New Schecter LP guitar coming soon.

Epi headstocks are far better-looking than those ugly PRS and Dean V-shaped headstocks. Good god those are an eyesore.
No arguing here! (although to each his own).
Disagree strongly. I think the Epi headstocks have always looked really good.
I almost like them more than the Gibson ones.
Like i said, to each his own, although I gotta admit this headstock has always worked for me:

I like the look of it, wouldn't mind trying one out. Though I think I'd ditch the pickgaurd.

I've always liked that headstock too. Can't really dig on the standard LP/SG Epi headstock.

I honestly like the old Solo shape more. They're releasing some Explorer and V style guitars this year that are really nice looking, in my opinion.

Schecter is releasing an Explorer shape?? have to check it.. I do kinda like the Cygnus or whatever the Loomis is called.
They have some nice cool finishes coming out too. Ive never been much of a burst fan (honeyburst, cherry burst, etc. usually stuff with oranges or browns ) but I have always liked dragon burst and some like that. I see they are doing dragon burst and a dark earth burst.

Looks like they are going alot more in house with pickups. Even though they have made their own for years avail in the Custom Shop guitars, they have used Duncans and EMGs in most of the models for years. I was always suprised they didnt use their own to keep costs down. Curious how they are?? Funny thing is, they are using their own pups and prices are up.. haha

Checked out the Schecter site.. I like the E1! dont like the brown color tho.. if it comes in black, I may be in trouble...

Anyone know the story with the Floyd Rose 1500? Most companies are using the FR 1000 (right?). Im guessing from the way it looks that the 1500 is probably the 1000 but with stainless steel screws.

Re: New Schecter LP guitar coming soon.

That LP in the original post NEEDS TO HAVE THAT PICKGUARD OFF!!

Very pretty as it is, but it would look way better without it.

I agree with this. Remove it or stick a more traditional LP guard on...

Re: New Schecter LP guitar coming soon.

i don't like the droopy looking pickguard. should be angular and aggressive looking like most schecters. i like my old schecter baritone. i also tried a KM-7 and like it alot.
