wicked!
I was tossing up between them and texas heats for my twin. In the end i went with the texans cos its gives me 300w headroom as opposed to the 100w a pair of rexes will give...but i often wonder how it would sound with a pair of those fine speakers in there. I love them with low wattage fenders. Cant wait to hear what you think!
....heh...wait till you hear the emis! The stock Jensens really aren't that bad
Would you say it is warmer than the Jensens? It sounds like it may tame an amp that is too bright, from your description. I have a Deluxe Reverb loaded with an Emi Red, White and Blues. That speaker is OK, but I would like something warmer and more "complex" sounding. I guess by that I have to be referring to the mid frequencies, but I don't mean more or less. It's one of those other kind of unstated qualities I'm looking for.

And don't forget that their sound will improve when broken-in....probably 30 to 50 hours of at least moderate volume.I would say warmer but not by leaps and bounds. I feel like the eq is not overly apparent. Kind of honest sounding but really pleasant. After playing more today I REALLY like them. I want to hear them with my orange now!
