New Warmoth Build

Padouk / Padauk is a little denser than maple, similar in density to oak wood really. Lovely wood IMO, although for finishing a grain filler is a good idea (learned that the hard way). Also, I fins a coat of shellac really helps boost the colour. Only tried it as a neck wood, which it does really well on account of its sheer stiffness.

I don't usually go for teles, but that one just oozes class, and wood choices are brilliant (if it was mine I would have gone ebony on the neck, but hey, it's your party and will be great anyway). Would love to know how the P90s sound, they've always intrigued me but I'm just always drawn to humbuckers.

These P90s make this tele sing. Ebony would definitely would have been a good choice for a fretboard wood. This guitar is everything I envisioned and thought it would be.

Yeah, I heard it was a royal pain to work with. The dust is hell for your skin and lungs. Maybe best used as a veneer, I guess.

Wow, that's gotta be the darkest canarywood I've ever seen. Is it stained?

I'll grab a photo tonight. I sealed it with master gel, I didn't think it had a tint but now that I look it up it's "highly pigmented" stain oops (just looked up another that said virtually colorless when dry). It's been like 15 years since I used the stuff, but it was from stew Mac.
