New Wine Red Studio HP

I like the brown fretboard, but not sure if it's Rosewood. There were some years they were using baked Maple as fretboards. Not sure if it was in 2018.

Did you just add a cover to the Distortion or did you swap the Distortion out altogether?

I swapped it out and added a chrome Burstbucker 3

It has reached it's final form today.

You should remove one of the dummy knobs and add an arcade button kill/stutter switch. They are a lot of fun.

I've got one in my jackson warrior, and agree! I may just do that. That crazy stutter is a blast sometimes.

Thanks, now I have to change it again and post more pics after Amazon shows up in a few days ha ha

Nice going, wino is a modern classic, for sure.

Also agree about tuners, hehe :D.I couldn't get the vintage stuff off my SG fast enough (like the looks/weight, function not so much). Dropped in a set of Kluson Revolutions, which are new to me after years of Gotoh, and I'm liking them.

I guess it isn't more common due to 'tradition' or other such nonsense.

I find it so funny that the "traditionalists" in the Gibson family/cult are much more vocal and opinionated than with any other brand.

When I posted this guitar (and other LP's that I have previously molested) on other guitar sites, people take issue with the color scheme, the truss cover, pickguard, and poker chip more often than not.

They seem to be Very vocal in those opinions as well.
"It doesn't look right" "Les Pauls are supposed to have ...x, y , or z" "where's the pickguard? Looks stupid without it." "Your pickup is backwards man wtf?"

Whereas: Nobody blinks and eye when you swap a pickup ring out of a BC Rich or a Dean ha ha ha.
I can take a die grinder and spray paint to my Jackson's and people just respond: "looks cool man"

Cork-sniffing A-holes at times, this Gibby-Cult. I both Love and Despise them/us at times.

Personally, I don't want a plain ol burst standard that looks like everyone else's vintage whatever....

Just a small rant. Carry on boys.

I've decided that this Wine Red is in fact a keeper.
