Man I am just loving this thing. Drop in a TV Jones TV Tron Plus and I am golden. Italia makes the coolest, funkiest guitars. I might go for the single pup model, it looks a bit nicer a little more streamlined but I might like having a neck pup in it who knows?

At first I didnt think I liked that guitar, but as I look at it more and more it gets better looking. Hmm...........maybe I'm just wierd. :)

+1

And you know what, its like the songs that take a long time before you appreciate them enough to like them. Those are the best songs.
Rather than songs you hear once and love em, 2 days later you would rather chew glass before listening to it again. Same principles apply to guitars. Good choice Wattage.

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

Nice ... but I'd prefer a '63 400 Superamerica (Modena .... Ferarri :D )

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

NICE!!!!

Looks like a Gretsch Duo Jet.....with TV Jonesers!!!!

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

input jack looks cool... inlays look alright.. :scratchch

I'm liking it!

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

With a name like that, shouldn't that guitar be red?

right now, it's more like the french racing colors with white stripes or the colors used by Ecurie Ecosse.

Did you see the mid 60's Ferrari that ended up in the Gulf during the storm? I was sick.

Should be red but I'll take blue since it's my fav color next to black and yes DuoJet all the way. Only runs mid $400's, plays really nice as do all Italia's.

Ahh those people I don't feel sorry for, I bet they have great insurance. Its the people who can't afford the Ferraris who lost their only car..
Anyway, am I the only one who doesn't like this guitar? I don't know, the whole retro/trash thing doesn't do it for me.

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

Well I really don't feel too bad for anyone who survived the disaster short only a car but as a fan of vintage Ferrari's it was very depressing to see one crushed and destroyed by the storm. It looked like a Pinanfarina 250 GT Convertible, I'll never own one but I can dream.

Retro trash huh? Well I guess. I don't go for Floyds, quilts and 14th generation Strat take-offs. I like late 50's/early 60's styling, quintessential styling to me in a lot of ways. To each his own amigo, to each his own.

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

I vote yes...great looking guitar. Ciao. Bon giorno! Signo di bunt!

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

Now THAT has you written all over it!!!! :headbang:

Set her right next to that badda$$ Butnut Tele-Gib & reap the rewards of their bastard off-spring after nature takes its course !!! :laugh2:

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

I love all this company's guitars, they are kitschy but they really do play and sound cool too. Maybe the new Nasty CD will do well enough that I can get an artist deal :laugh2: yeah right!

Italia Guitars - sixties Italian-inspired retro guitars, featuring pearloid sparkle and plastic, designed and created by Trevor Wilkinson.

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

Do they carry these locally by you? I'd love to try one out!

Pretty cool guitar without having to break the bank!

Re: Next guitar - Italia Maranello Speedster

There is a shop about 45 minutes away from me that has a few. I have almost bought 2 different ones but something always comes up you know?

This time I think I am hooked. Been looking at a few recent Gretsch guitars most notably the Malcolm model but I am not up for laying out that kind of money for one.

www.drclucks.net is a dealer in south FLA shouldn't be too far from you.
