There have been many NGDs for me lately, I think I should stop. But at least I didn't spend money on this one, I traded my JS-22 for it. Even though I loved the JS-22 and it was an amazing player, I didn't really bond with it, and never played it much, sadly. And lately, I've really fallen in love with Les Pauls again, and as I orignally posted the ad to sell my Jackson, a guy wanted to trade me.
Its a 2003 Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Just plain black, has quite some wear, but it's lovely. I don't think the knobs are stock, but I love them a lot. Same PUs as the other Epi I have, HOTCH and 57 something. They are very good actually, but I want to replace them with Duncans. Almost no fret wear, despite the age. Had a filthy, super dry fretboard.
But this thing... damn. It's got proper setup. Nut got filed and the whole nine yards, it plays like a dream, really nice low action. I've cleaned it, restrung it with 10s (topwrap ftw) and played it ever since I got it. I've fallen in love! It sings and growls, I'm amazed.
