NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

Oh yeah it is. I have been fighting the Wilshire GAS for a while but now that I picked this one up I think I have uncorked something serious.

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

just waiting on my APH-1's to come in so I can drop them in my Wilshire

It's a great guitar for the money. Hope the new pickups sweeten it out a bit!

congrats on your new shredstick!

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

They are cheap, but very good quality and tone. Very playable, well finished fretwork. The fadeds are super cheap, but best quality I've seen come around for less than $1000, so you CAN afford to get several different colors and put different pups in for different sounds.

Ditto! I thought I posted in this thread but dont see it.. So, sorry if I repeat myself, repeat myself..... haha

Congrats Wattage! Cool score! These are killer. I played a white one with the mini hums when they first came out and had to really talk myself out of it.. VERY nice tone and extremely fun to play..

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

Yeah made a trade tonight for a brand new Wilshire Pro in white, psyched. Just as good as the black one, right on.

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

Thanks that is all just looped in the HD500. two rhythm tracks and then the lead triple tracked. Once on the neck, once in the middle and once on the bridge pickup - all pups were split.

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

Here's the white one I picked up Tuesday night, traded my Epi TD333 for it

It was brand new still in the sealed Epi box. As nice as the black one but the neck feels a little heavier and it has a little more snap to it. Only issue I had with either guitar so far was a bad ground wire on the bridge pickup on this white one. Easy fix, probably a cold solder joint that came apart when it got bumped around in shipping. Again I flipped the position of the bridge vol/tone pots to make it easier to get to the bridge vol.

Wish they did a bound neck, this would look perfect if they did

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

Man, I really love those Wilshires. They look great. If I was a praying man, it's one of the few guitars I'd be begging for a left handed version of.

Matching black and white one? You certainly know how to roll, sir. Congrats. :beerchug:

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

The Wil's saw their first gig action last night, flying colors indeed.

I think I may hunt down a vintage one before too long.

Re: NGD: Epi Wilshire Pro

Where are these made?

I just bought an acoustic Chinese Epiphone AJ 100 that blew me away.....for $100!!

I have a feeling some of the Epi's coming out are turning out to be pretty decent guitars.
