NGD! Modded Kramer Baretta Special

Received about a month ago. Had it on order for 3 months from American Music Supply and was on back order. Found a guy on Facebook selling one for a few bucks less. Mint.





I picked up a really nice Kramer fitted case for this guitar for about 50 bucks brand new from AMS. I played it for a while and the bridge humbucker is OK, some people really like, it but I felt like it was way too nasally. So I decided to mod the guitar with a JB trembucker, a new Wilkinson full block vintage trem and a set of Gotoh made in Japan tuners.





Plays so well for a $180 guitar!! I would recommend you guys check them out if in the market for a super strat.

hell yeah!!! i got one of the purple ones a month or 2 ago...with my saved MF points i got it for $10! pretty cool guitar for the money! i agree about the humbucker tho, most reviews say it's great and doesn't need changing, but i disagree. You mind if I ask what models bridge and tuners you used? i wanna do some upgrades once i'm done refinishing mine...i couldn't resist giving mine a very DIY spray paint snakeskin look!

It’s called candy blue. It is the best color imo. I got a red one for a EVH project and it’s like a dark pink

I used Gotoh mini tuners.

The bridge is a Wilkinson WVP6 SB. It has a full steel block. I had to drill two new holes and route a minor bit from the trem area so the block would moves freely.

Looks very nice in that color and looks great with the maple fingerboard. I have never owned a Kramer, or a single humbucker guitar. For the price I'm seriously considering it!

Hard to go wrong at that price. This one had zero finish issues and played great. The red one I got had a few minor flaws.
