Well, I was planning on selling my Gretsch G5120 and using the money to buy some other gear.... But I got an offer, on craigslist, to trade my Gretsch straight across for a '94 Fender American Standard Telecaster, so I just couldn't pass it up!!! This is the sweetest Tele that I have ever owned!!!!! I am super happy with the trade!

Oh ok. Well I really like this one! The guy actually had two that he let me pick between. There was this one and there was a 93 with a Rosewood board but it had been refinished. They both played good, but I just really liked this 94 Sunburst.

90s American Standards = the best

That's what I'm starting to think! I played this guitar yesterday at church, and I got many compliments on my tone. I played it on every song for both services, and I never even picked up my Les Paul. I haven't gone a service without playing my Les Paul in over a year. Haha!

Ya I have only ever owned one guitar that had a maple fretboard before, and I didn't have it for very long. But I am really digging the maple neck and fretboard on this Tele! It plays and feels great!

I've been so tempted to try a black guard on mine, but I really like the way that the original white guard has aged.

Waaaaaay better than with rosewood. Sorry to everyone out there, but rosewood sucks IMO.
