I just got the shipping confirmation for Friday. I needed to add some bench depth for the new set. I am glad I am working from home because we are getting hit with a polar vortex and I would not want a guitar waiting outside for even a few minutes. Pics to come on Friday

its cold as hell here too, my strats dont seem to mind the cold much but my lp hates it

The temp in our practice studio is swinging wildly right now. My Strats are fine. I just brought the SG home from the studio to do a truss tweak, nothing major just seasonal drift.

It is 14 here, feels like -5 to -7. Yeah, in TEXAS!!!! WTF!!!

Go home, Elsa, you're drunk!!!

My Strats and Tele don't mind chilly or cold. The LP is another story. Mahogany vs Maple necks is certainly a factor.

My LP has needed a few tweaks this winter. The air has been really dry. I actually strained my arm because my action crept up without me being consciously aware of it. Still getting down to negative temps overnight.

Tell the delivery company that their driver is expected to cuddle with the guitars to share his body heat until you can get out to sign for them.

One of the great things about living in Florida is that it is pretty stable 80% of the year. A few colder weeks (not like up north) but mostly super hot with 97% humidity. Yum!

Yeah, humidity doesn't bother your gear when your whole house feels like a steam room all year. :P

When inmoved out to AZ
everything bowed up

The Mahogany dining room table top twisted and bowed each board in the top separated and raised or lowered 1/4 inch (6mm)

Guitar necks bowed

Once I moved back to Alabama
The table went back to flat
And I adjusted the necks

I can go up to north Alabama and the neck will warp
On my Yamaha acoustic

It's here! I picked up an IYV double neck. The finish is amazing and the pickups are quite nice. No need to run out and change them as I thought I would. The action is a bit high for my tastes but both necks are dead straight with perfect intonation. The heel on this is also nice and comfortable, along with a nice bound headstock and neck. For $292 shipped, I am a happy man. I just need to dial it in the action for my tastes just like any other guitar.

Interesting factoid: The clip-on tuner picks up both necks so you do not need to move it from the 6-string to the 12-string when tuning the separate guitars.

I just noticed the crack in the 12-string nut. It doesn't hamper tuning or playability. Not worth returning it for that I will just eventually replace it.

I've seen straps for double necks that wrap around your waist like a belt. Maybe there is some sort of harness that will make things a little easier.
