I don't think it'll let me post all the pics, but here's a list of the models and any upgrading I've done to the pickups. I added the Revstar at the bottom of the list. :)

Re: NGD - Yamaha Revstar RS620

I'm still working on getting a few of them to my guitar tech to get the nut filed properly and a setup, but I've used many of them at gigs and never had any issues. Rock solid guitars I can normally get used for cheap and upgrade them with better used pickups and a few other cheap upgrades.

Re: NGD - Yamaha Revstar RS620

It showed up a day early and I gotta say that so far I'm impressed. A little heavier than I thought it would be, but feels really solid. Haven't had a good chance to play it yet, but it's in fantastic shape. If there's any wear to the frets I haven't seen it. The Tone Pros bridge feels awesome and even the tuners feel really smooth and solid. For the price I got it for it seems to be an absolute steal. It will need to go to my guitar tech to have the nut filed and a setup, but once he's done I think it'll be amazing. The overall feel of the guitar kinda reminds me of a Les Paul, but a more comfortable body shape.

What a cool, interesting guitar! I'd love to hear how you end up tweaking it.

Other than getting a proper setup I may not tweak this one. Played it more this morning and it sounds pretty dang good already. I'll add a treble bleed, but nothing else for now. Very cool Les Paul-ish type tones from it, but a much more comfortable body shape to me.

Re: NGD - Yamaha Revstar RS620

The more I play this guitar the more the tones remind me of Les Paul-ish tones. The pickups are warm, fat slightly overwound PAF-ish tones IMO and just sound amazing for OD rock tones. I'm going to try to get a treble bleed installed this week or this weekend, but other than that I don't plan on doing anything else to the guitar other than taking it to my guitar tech for a proper setup. Really digging this guitar.

Re: NGD - Yamaha Revstar RS620

Not the exact same model, but the same pickups, hardware and woods. This video is the one I've heard that's closest to the sound I'm hearing from my guitar. The tones that Brett gets in this video are really close to the tones I get with my RS620 with my Boss Katana amps...especially with the OD on the bridge pickup. Big, fat, thick tone that I just love so far. Of course I can't play like Brett, but the tones are extremely close.

Re: NGD - Yamaha Revstar RS620

I'm hoping to get it to my guitar tech this weekend so it can get a proper setup and then it'll be even better.

That really is a nice guitar...I dig the gold/brass hardware and the top looks sweet. That is a guitar I would go for. How much did it cost again?

The hardware is all satin chrome finished. I got the guitar for less than $350.

Re: NGD - Yamaha Revstar RS620

You can't go wrong with that price...incredible! Well I hope you enjoy it because it sure looks like a winner. The video you posted showed the guitar's true colours.;)
