Another Pawn Shop find and this one is a keeper!! I have owned many many Carvins over the years ( had 18 all at one time) but had sold off all of them but my Pink 1990 X220C during a dark financial time a few years back and have been wanting to pick up another one badly. Found this 2001 DC 400 in a shop in another city for a steal and just got her home and wiped down. Will post more when I get it really set and cleaned up. It is very close to the DC 145 I had built in 1996 and the DC 135 I built in 95 and have regretted selling both for a while now. Here that pair is with one of my old V220's>

Here she be and it plays/sounds every bit as good as it looks!!!

This one is the closest I can get to the real color, it's called Ruby Red Stain and in person is a deep rich Burgundy color on a nice quilt.

Re: NGD!!

Nice Ascecion.I'd snag that in a New York second!~We never get no Carvins around here.
Same here and evidently the guys in that shop had no idea what it was. The threw it out on the rack and priced it like an Epiphone so---when I saw it it was :eek2: :deal::outahere::arms:: party:.

Re: NGD!!

that looks great

a friend of mine down in Pensacola has DC127 in that color
his doesn't have that sexy fretboard though

Re: NGD!!

I used to have a V220 almost like that except mine had gold hardware. Nice find on all of them.

Re: NGD!!

Suweeeet! I don't think I've ever seen a Carvin in a pawn shop. Or the flea-market, for that matter.

Nice score.

Re: NGD!!

Thanks guys!! This find came at a good time as my mom has been in and out of the hospital in a city about 60 miles from me over the last couple months. Found this one while scrounging Pawn Shops as a distraction to all that.
