the few guitars that ive built have my custom carve neck from USACG. Nice hard V contour, 12" radius and about a medium profile, not a baseball bat but not a shredder either. Fits in my hand perfectly. One of them is all rosewood and it feels so good to play.

Id have to roll with that.

94 Strat Plus, maple board. Everything about it is comfortable. Not too wide, not too thin. Nut is perfect.

My Guild D26 id the best neck I've ever had on an acoustic. It is fairly narrow, and I realize that some prefer a wider neck on an acoustic gtr.

I used to own a LP Deluxe. Not sure of the yr, maybe early 70s. 60's profile neck, which I like. That was a sweet gtr to play in terms of the neck feel (minibuckers were killer through my JCM 800, too!).

My Jackson Soloist has the best neck i've ever played. Its thin neck(not as thin as the wizard, thats to thin for me), compound radius, ebony fretboard and jumbo frets. Is solid as a rock, fast as HELL and a dream to play.

This neck, currently not on a guitar (in preparation for my upcoming bag of awesome) is pretty great too. It's a Fender Road Worn 60's neck.

My favorite necks are probably the slim taper 60s necks.

My Warmoth fatback neck feels great, I can't stand a thin neck.

Nitro satin finish, stainless steel frets.

What can I say, that's one piece of wood I cant keep my hands off!

my LTD's thin u neck contour feels great,slim but comfortable
my Ibanez has a wizard 2 neck (i think),is wide and flat in the middle like a D neck

Dig my '81 Hamer Special, MIJ 62RI Strat's big baseball bat of a neck, and my Epi Alleykat's neck, which is kind of a wider (not fatter) slim taper Gibby shape with a bound ebony fingerboard.

I have a few that I really like.

My 1985 dot 335 RI..... awesome playing and sounding guitar
My new 359... very similar but I like the 335 a lot better.
My 1988 Clapton Strat... Awesome Neck
My Santa Cruz OM. The SC & that Clapton Strat are very similar in shape. They are both soft V necks. thats what I like the best.

Fender Relic No Caster. Truly, a baseball bat.

PRS Wide Fat (US and MIK versions) a close second.

I have an MIJ strat I bought in 87-88, maple fingerboard. Used to have a locking nut and a kahler flat mount trem. Just a basic 9.5" strat neck that is just home for me. I play smother, cleaner, and faster on this neck than anything else I've tried. I almost sold this guitar due to it's severely worn frets. I just couldn't part with it, so I plopped down my $180 and had the refret done. I have no regrets, the guitar plays perfect again and hopefully I can have another 22 years of joy from this axe.

I go for the bigger stuff too...

PRS wide/fat on the swamp ash special feels amazingly great.

Love the '50s neck on my Lester too.

The neck on my '99 Tele deluxe with the Bigsby is the best feeling "Fender" modern C I've ever played, and probably one of the better Fenders overall. Straight as an arrow, like butter.

Those are my three favorite guitars too... go figure!

Of all the guitars I have evern owned, my EBMM Albert Lee, which I traded some time ago, and my current Steve Morse model, both with their gunstock oil/wax finishes have the best necks I have ever played.

My favorite necks are definately my Charvel San Dimas ProMod's - one maple, one rosewood. Killer.

After that, toss up between my Jackson Adrian Smith and Fender Dave Murray.

I have a super cheesy looking 80's Kramer, Explorer rip-off, that has a custom neck from Chandler guitars in San Francisco. Damn thing plays like silk sheets. But you'll never catch me playing the thing in public.

'57 custom - has a great big fat neck that I just love to play... it feels substantial and sounds it!
Epi '65 sg with vibrola - has a very similar neck to the '57 and it feels really great even though it has no binding!
Page L.P - I'm not even sure what profile it's supposed to be but it's a dream to play.
Wayne Super Tele. This one is very special. It was made for Dave Kilminster by Wayne Charvel and it's has an oiled neck that is similar to a EBMM EVH or Wolfgang but it's a little wider and chunkier. It's very solid, silky smooth and is easily THE slickest guitar I've ever played which includes Suhrs, PRSs, Tylers etc. This is not an exageration nearly everyone who has played this guitar wants it!

My 63 SG junior. The only neck I've played that felt the same was on a friend's PRS about 15 years ago but that was the only thing I liked about that guitar. I recently bought a Firebird Studio and the neck on that is totally different, I'm still trying to get used to it. I wanted to cure myself of the endless search for another guitar I liked with a neck the same as my SG's because I found that i was cutting myself off from virtually every other guitar.
