Let me start off by saying thanks to everyone for bashing the Marshall MG line :fing25: . What was I thinking? :smack: I'll steer clear of those.
So I made it over to the local music shop today to check out guitar amps. I looked at new and used within my $600.00 price range. I came across a brand new Peavey Valve King 212 combo amp. I plugged in and loved the amp from the start. At moderate volume levels this amp rocked. It had such a full sound. The clean channel was warm, the LP I was playing had a ton of low end. I also noticed that there was a half stack version out too for just a few bucks more.
Once again, does anyone have any feedback on this amp? I guess they're rather new in the market. For anyone new reading, I'm a gigging musician with a metal band and my 25 watt practice amp isn't getting the job done. I'm looking to upgrade. I'm not into built-in effects and on board amp modelling. I like straight ahead amp with some reverb. I figure I can spend 600-800.
