it's a XXX. Literally.
There you go.
I just bought one today! It's my first tube amp. It came with a free 4x12. It sounds great to me, but since I'm new to tube amps I don't have anything to compare it to.
Got it at GC in Hollywood. Came with the Peavey Windsor 4x12, I know it's not there greatest 4x12 but it sounds good to me!

you scored and it's good gear
do me a solid? enjoy it and get to know it for a good while before you start listening to forumites telling you that you need something else instead, like the bozos up in here who are telling you that on the same day you got this. There's nothing wrong with your new half-stack. You may be very happy with it for a long time.
and as you explore, let your ears tell you *if* you might need something else
...but later. First, enjoy it.
happy new gear day:fest6:
so was my XXX, it's just that the new ones come that way, and they also caved to the anti-mudflap chick sentiment. Personally, I loved the trucker chicks.
I'm going by PV dealer info though, no disrespect to Jerry or his clever businessing, who came across "as far as he could tell so far." It was somewhat common but un-advertised knowledge before he rushed to "break" the news.

I've heard this about other Peavey tube amps too. That really gives a home studio guy like me GAS for a Peavey! One thing I really liked about this is that it sounded great at low volumes as well as high.
I don't know if Hartley Peavey personally designs all their products anymore but the majority of their line is almost criminally ugly and has been for decades (with the exception of the carved-top Wolfgang models).
