pedal cable kits planet waves vs. george L

Re: pedal cable kits planet waves vs. george L

i think im going to get a 15ft .155 red cable to try in front of the pedal board and if i like ill get all george l cables for the pedal board as well

hmnn but its a bit more expensive than monster..without lifetime warranty.

ebay has some deals for cheaper prices..and theyre new..

WARNING: Though I use GeorgeL on my pedal board and would encourage you to do the same... I have also tried the GeorgeL premade cables out of my guitar and I don't like them there. The reason: They are too stiff and tend to get all twisted up. I much prefer Planet Waves or Monsters for that. I've used the GeorgeL running from the pedal board to the amp with no problem - but I would not recommend them on the guitar itself.

Re: pedal cable kits planet waves vs. george L

For pedal interconnects, the George L's work great for me (no gigging though). That's using the right angle connectors. Before, I had a miscellaneous collection of crappy connectors and was surprised just how much tone, especially highs and upper mids, a series of bad leads can suck out of your sound. BIG difference with the George L's.

I did have some problems initially with the straight George L connectors. It's possible to screw in the set screw too far and short out the cable. Ended up turning it one rotation, checking for ground continuity with the DMM, then turning again until it was just making solid contact with the shield. No problem at all with the right angle connectors, and YMMV.

BTW Guitar Heaven usually has excellent prices on George L stuff, especially the pedalboard kit.
