My general order call:
tuner -
octafuzz (pitch track device; Goes first)
wah (I like to wah the fuzz - give more effect. Fuzz can mellow a wah big time - but that can be cool too. Your call)
q zone (Auto wah?)
cae boost (unless it is simply for lead boost, then last after OD)
overdrive
(in loop if available)
- phase 90 (Swirl first, IMO)
- chorus
- delay
- tremolo
- reverb (verb last, IMO)
- 10 band eq - VERY last because of the lofi effect
Then I talked to my old drummer about putting the band back together which means I'll be needing to add
There are a lot of options here - no right one. You'll have to experiment. General rules apply generally
Pitch before all
Gain first, in increasing dirt order
Eq after gain
Swirlies (flange/phase/chorus etc...)
TIme based (Delay/Verb)
Many can go lots of places: EQ, Comp, Boost, Trem, etc...depending on what you want.
I generally go Trem > Verb. I can argue for trem up there with EQ post gain or as a swirly pre delay.
