Please define the genre of my music

Hey Guys and Gals!

I write songs, record them and get them mixed and mastered by a studio.
Well I don't like the whole stereotypical thinking thing that is going on in todays markets.
Still it bugs me that I'm not able to specify the genre of my songs.

Let me get one thing clear here:
I'm asking for your opinion, not for sales!

If someone likes the stuff let me know,
there's still download codes left (just send me a PM).

So please check this out:

If you don't like bandcamp there's two songs on Youtube (with inscreen-lyrics).

Thanks for your time!
Every opinion is apreciated!

Yours,
Eric

Re: Please define the genre of my music

Alternative Indie emo-core.

Get yourself a drummer, or at least some decent samples and programming.

Re: Please define the genre of my music

Sounds good, thanks!

I'll try to take the programming more seriously in my upcoming songs... ;o)
I'm still far to inexperienced and i have to admit,
singing and playing guitar is just much more fun! ;o)

Re: Please define the genre of my music

Not-my-kind-ish alternative emo rock.

I don't mean to be rude, this gentle style is just not for me :) Nice production BTW.

Re: Please define the genre of my music

Well....thanks....I guess... ;o)
Honestly, you guys are amazing! Love the answers!
I'll make shure to post a new thread with the same question once my
next EP is done ;o)

Re: Please define the genre of my music

I'd say Indie most likely. I thought it was pretty good Eric, thanks for sharing your music with us.

Re: Please define the genre of my music

I'd call it emocore, I spose.
I'd drop the volume on your vocals a touch. They're really forward and I imagine that in this sort of genre you may want them to be a little more reverb/delayed and a little softer delivery, at least on the singing parts. A nice present dryness is good for growls though.

I feel your drums are a little dry too.

I might just not be in touch with this particular scene though. I'm thinking slightly more shoegazey than an offshoot of djenty LOUDquiet.

Re: Please define the genre of my music

I would call it Post Indie Pre Baroque Sup Pop. Or we could just call it rock.
