Its similar, not as much depth to the effect, but a decent approximation of the Boss. Not bad for the price difference. I don't the TC for $50 or $60 vs $230 for the Boss pedal. Chorus isn't something I use a lot so I couldn't justify spending a lot for one, and this was the best of the $150 and less chorus pedals that my local GC had.

Just picked up this used SD-1w on eBay for a good price. I already have a regular SD-1 on my pedalboard but I wanted another to carry with me when I'm not using the board. Such a useful pedal. Never leave home without one!

And scored this 1983 PH-1r earlier in the year. Great phaser - lush and Leslie-like! It's replaced the MXR Phase 95 on my board.

I think the Waza Craft range generally is BOSS's attempt to produce a "premium" version of some of their most popular pedals with (allegedly) upgraded circuitry and the inclusion of a switchable mod. Not very exciting I suppose, but I recently bought a pitch black pro for my board. It's about as good a pedal tuner as I've ever used. Easy to use, easy to see, fast tracking, true bypass, incredibly accurate.

I have the Sledgehammer and handheld versions of this design. I love the display and accuracy.

I think the secret of the Waza Craft version is that it allowed Boss to dig into the circuit again and revise the layout into SMT components, pay for the development under the Waza SD-1w and keep the standard (now SMT) SD-1 at the same price.

I use it with the gain down all the way and the level all the way up most of the time. It's real nice in front of a Plexi like tone with the level at noon and the gain around 9-10 o'clock. Adjust the tone to taste.

I don't even remember how I heard about this guy, but he kinda builds to order and he is on Reverb.com. The price was very reasonable and so I gave him a shot. I didn't really care for the green knobs so I asked him if he would build it with black knobs and he took care of that. It is a very good od/distortion box with wide ranging controls and it hardly introduces any noise into the signal, even at extreme settings.

I have bought 4 or 5 gain pedals from Frank. ALL of them are quiet like that. I assume he uses good quality components. By the way, he will build just about anything you can think of if you ask him. Three of the pedals I've bought from him were not his standard offerings. He will do custom colors and graphics, too. I LOVE his pedals!

I've been on kind of a wah pedal buying spree the past few weeks. I've never really used one throughout the years so I'm trying to see what it is I like in a wah tone because I've become obsessed with the wah tone lately.

Very, it has the same range but the pedal is shorter so your foot hangs off the pedal. Just think if you cut 2 or 3 inches off of your Cry Baby pedal. Same functionality just less space for your foot. It feels totally natural at least to me.

Well, I am thinking of using a mini expression pedal. I currently use an Ernie Ball Jr pedal, which is still pretty massive, so I didn't know if the mini size would work for me.

Never had a wah pedal until the beginning of August. My mini crybaby is absolutely a great product. Easy e comfortable to use. I regret I haven't bought it before
