Uh huh. Just don't pull that BS around me. I caught a guy from another band walking out of a hall show with my other guitarists Dual rec. Lets just say the night didn't end well for him. As much as punks can be....well..."punks" playing punk was always about the music, message and friends for me.
I remember being 16 in my first punk group and we went out to get our first rig to replace the Peavey Bandit we were using. We ended up scoring a 1972 Hiwatt 50 and a Marshall cab for $400 and change! That was a sweet punk rock set up.....although I don't think you can get an old OG Hiwatt for that anymore.

. . . for a Punk band.
Running two amps, in (((stereo))).
Gibson R8, into two (1st gen) Klons, and two Fulltone TTE's each going into a Dumble and Soldano SLO head respectively !!
Because nuffing shouts Punk, more than using a stiff blues lawyer's rig to ripp out punk riffs :laughing:

In all fairness, I only paid $350 for the Dual Showman. Sold it (stupidly) for $500 a few years later. And the 412MS is a cab I've seen on CL for $100ish before, but I love it.

A lot of the punk kids I knew back in the day played Sovtek MiG amps. I was going to suggest one until I looked up current pricing.

I remember when i joined the bandwagon, and started to subscribe to various guitar forums in 2006 : the Sovtek MiG was suggested (all the time) as the go-to affordable Marshall like amp, back then.
I s'pose the secret is out, and BOOM, there goes the prices.
