i decided to jump the gun and build the jmp-1/mesa 20/20 setup. still waiting for a couple more paychecks to purchase the pre and power amps, but this is where i'm at so far.
i got the tuner and the furman from my band's ex-bassist for $130, which made me real happy because of how much of a steal that was
. and as you can see i'm building the case myself, which will save me somewhere near $100 when all is said and done. i have 6 rack spaces up there, and a spot for the dual rectifier. now i'll never play a show without a backup amp, and everything is all together in one package (and a heavy package it's going to be :smack: ). still have to mount the rails in there, cover the case in tolex, install the handles, corners, and make lids for the front and back, and sometime after that the jmp-1 and 20/20 will come into the picture.
speaking of which, does anyone know where you can find tolex for a reasonable price? i've seen it on partsexpress.com, but i'm just curious if there's anywhere that has it for cheaper.
