GJ you're killing me!
I just my bogner XTC up for sale to pay for the caswell modded marshall I just bought. LOL.
When I first moved to LA I drove out to see randy's final resting spot. Its in a cemetry in San Bernadino. I used to have a pic of Randy on my amp and people in town would always mention him to me before or after gigs and tell me stories of him during his time gigging on the strip with Quiet Riot.
To me, Randy is still very much alive to this day and his music, playing and influence is 2nd to none in the hard rock/metal circle. He had melody and beauty. He and slash are the reason I learned to play guitar when I was a kid. I will never forget spending the whole day learning to play mr. crowley and then busting it out to show people I could play! Too bad it was the mid 90s at the time and no one cared.
In my opinion EVH had nothing on Randy...as far as if Randy were here today. Who knows? He might be playing classical guitar for an orchestra or something we'd never expect. He was a musician's musician. He played for the love of it, not chicks, drugs, and money. He has my total respect.
Thanks for reading this longwinded post
