Reb Beach

I don't know much about the guy besides the fact that he played in Winger, but Reb Beach's Ibanez Voyager signature guitar has been haunting me day and night. Anyone have any info on them.

Re: Reb Beach

From what I can tell they are a copy of his koa suhr superstrat. Rosewood neck and fretboard, koa body, EMG 89 and 2 SA's, Lisenced Floyd.

Actually the Ibanez is a Mahogany body with a Koa top. He's been quoted as saying the Ibanez are nice, but nowhere in the league of his pensa Shur or John Suhr guitars, said it's like comparing a Cadillac to a Rolls Royce.

That and the Ibanez were out 10-15 years earlier. The Suhrs are vast improvements on the original.

Re: Reb Beach

John Sykes IS whitesnake! Oops -sorry, wrong Reb thread.....

I always wanted one of those Ibby Voyagers! I played one back in the day fairly often. It was a nice guit. Couldnt say if it compares to a Suhr or whatnot, but it was IMO, as good a player and tone-wise as any JEM in the store (which I also played quite often at the local shop).

Re: Reb Beach

I played the cheaper solid colour model once, and it was pretty ballsy sounding for a superstrat with a chunk hacked out of it. Cool guitar.
