Recommend me a tiny Practice amp?

Hey yall, I need a new little practice amp just to keep at my dads house. I need barely any watts, 15 at the most, and i just need it to have a good distortion and clean channel, with ok tone for the price(50-110$). Reccommendations?

Re: Recommend me a tiny Practice amp?

The Fender Frontman 15G(around 70 bucks) and 15R (around 100 bucks) are good practice amps for the price. They are both 15 watts and have a clean and drive channel. They have a 3 band EQ and the 15R has reverb. They have one 8 inch speaker and a closed back. I have the 25R which is a loud amp.

Hope this helps

+1 on the microcube....awesome little practice amp...and portable to boot...ac or dc power.....

Re: Recommend me a tiny Practice amp?

I'm a happy Micro Cube owner but if you're looking for something with 2 channels and ~15W, the Cube 15 is a better (and cheaper) alternative.

Re: Recommend me a tiny Practice amp?

A little more expensive than your range but, You cant beat a tech21 trademark 10!!!! It has Marshall, Mesa like distortion, spring reverb, three different speaker settings, and looks like a million bucks. BTW, it also comes with an amp cover.

Line 6 makes some smaller amps, and I like the way they sound, even though they're itty bitty..

Does the Micro Cube come with the ac adaptor?

Which one do you think sounds better?

Late edition ....
Actually as far as practice/teaching amps go, I always stand by the Peavey Blazer or Rages (rage doesn't have reverb, althought the Blazer doesn't have much ) ... 15 watts, open back, 8" speaker, switchable channels, shared 3 band EQ, cd/tape inputs, headphone output ...
However ... Crate (not a name you'll hear me speak of to often mind you) has one, same features, plus better reverb, and what also appears to be a cabinet simulated line out (has all the other features of the Peavey, although the Peaveys, do have a kinda bright switch thing on them) ... I think GC or SA had them for $99 .... Crate XT15R ... Worth looking into to.

I hate the Micro cube, had one, sold it, bought a Vox Pathfinder 15R which i love! My search for the best practice amp is over!

Check out the Tech21 TM10 also!
