Reducing the watt?

Hi. I'm considering a 5150 head, but for playing at home 120w of tubepower is too much, so I was wondering if there is a easy way of reducing the power?

1) You can pull two of the power tubes out.

2) Buy an attenuator (THD Hotplate, Weber Mass, ect)

I just 30 minutes ago took 2 power tubes out of my XXX, changed the impedence according, and it kicks ass!!!

you can also switch to a good set of 5881's, they run 20% less power than standard 6l6gc's. Check out those TAD's scott_F recommended, they're super cheap, and generate a sweet breakup.

I do the two power tube thing too, however I must warn you that it isn't 100% safe since you haven't adjusted the transformer accordingly. The best thing would be a attenuator.

meh, if you only need it to play indoors at your house, try another amp.

5150 half stack is enough to play at a stadium.
