Richard is world class...

How does this differ from Chet Atkins' arrangement? Sounds about the same to me (though I'd have to hear them side by side.). Not saying it's any small feat to play it, just that I'm not hearing what makes his arrangement different from Chets'.

Great player and yes it's a shame more of these guys aren't more well known. here he is playing with a close friend of mine in Craig Dobbins.

I wish the world accepted talent as all you need to make it big. Unfortunately, many times it is the other stuff, like who you know, generational wealth, right place/time, etc.

I have been watching videos from this guy Nathaniel Murphy amazing player with a unique approach.

In California it's "the right look".

Answer? He clearly brokered his soul with the devil for the ability to play guitar like that, but in a focus on updating and modernizing his operation at Satan LLC, the devil also required that Richard had to always perform in shorts.... thus negating any chance for a guitar notoriety.

What he really needs is a pair of sandals with black socks. I mean, who wouldn’t pay for a ticket to see that.

I didn’t see one single player in Nashville that didn’t blow me out if the water…..easily.
It was very discouraging. Lol

The level of talent down there is mind-blowing. Some people were making it happen with gear that would be ridiculed on this forum. I saw people ripping on little SS amps and mid-entry level guitars. I also saw some amps and guitars that made me green with envy.

I noticed quite a few Boss Kitanas. And I have to admit…They sounded really good.

Spot on. Real talent gets shoved to the back and the PTB push what THEY like on the masses. It's sad but it is what it is. Has always been that way to some extent and in some ways it's a little better today. At lease with the internet you can find unique folk like this guy if you look before you could NOT!

That's what the underground scene is for.
