Re: Roccaforte hi-gain 50 !!!!!!!!!

hey jeff i did get the JB in the standard, i forgot to pm you. it is bad ass in the hamer alot better than the 59 bridge was in this guitar. i haven't played it through the roccaforte yet i'll do that today !!!!!!!!!!

Good deal, Scott!

I was torn between the Splawn Quick Rod and the Roccaforte Hi Gain. Long story short, I went the way of the Sith (Splawn) instead of the Jedi, lol.

Re: Roccaforte hi-gain 50 !!!!!!!!!

i understand completely, i was willing to go to the darkside but this amp was too close to home and the right price so i had to give it a try so far so great !!!!!!!!!!

Re: Roccaforte hi-gain 50 !!!!!!!!!

by the way it has made my 1986 marshall jcm 800 2204 , feel lonely ! 2204 to a good home !! :) she's on the block now

Re: Roccaforte hi-gain 50 !!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Roccaforte's are great amps. I've plugged into the 100, 50, and a smallbox EL-84 amp, which sounded amazing.

The 100W was shockingly loud. About like an old Marshall 200W Major!!!

After stumbling upon some of the amps you've bought in the past few years, I can see why you'd sell off the lesser ones. Once you find THE tone, there's no point in keeping the mediocre ones. If you end up keeping the Roccaforte for good, you should sell off a couple of your cabs, and get a Roccaforte 4-12 in matching green. It's amazing what a stellar cabinet can do. Usually, they just sound more resonant, alive, and bouncier under the fingers.

Re: Roccaforte hi-gain 50 !!!!!!!!!

gearjoneser it's funny i am getting rid of my marshall 2204 and my fender tone master 4x12" cab . i am keeping my marshall 1960b loaded with v30's and g75t's . for know ! i know i wouldn't be using the 2204 now and that is not to say the marshall isn't kick ass it's just the rocaforte is better ! my next amp is going to be a lower wattage / lower gain thing like a fargen/roccaforte/soldano with el-84's for a more bluey grind kinda thing into a 2x12" cab . but for crunch/rock/high gain tones i am covered , and at the price i got it for i can turn it around for some coin if needed :)

i have done the "gearjoneser" this last couple of years to get this amp , i miss my soldano hot rod 50 and that is about it as far as amps i have had and gotten rid of because the roccaforte does the marshall thing as well as or better than all the marshall's i have had (2204(2)/jmp/PARK/sl-x(2)30th anniversary)

Re: Roccaforte hi-gain 50 !!!!!!!!!

tone report : with my 59/jb loaded hamer standard this amp wails out the goods . thick crunch with lots of overtones and sustain . it sounded alot like the scorpions live cd . to me anyway .
