Man, it is hard to keep track of. It seems like there is a new model every 2 months, and at every $20 increment. It is hard for anyone to keep this stuff straight.

^ +1, the other challenge is that there is a vast range of quality, everything from hardly playable to pretty decent guitars. I personally find that a lot of Squiers are fairly reasonably priced upgrade platforms. I know that doesn't answer OP's question about the wide range of instruments, just my 2¢ worth ...

Well, just within your list there, the Sonic series replaced the Bullet series.

Squier over the past 10-15 years is making amazing stuff.

Fun fact: The Affinity series Teles can have an ashtray bridge swapped onto them without any drilling, but the pickguards need some trimming if you swap them.
