^ +1, the other challenge is that there is a vast range of quality, everything from hardly playable to pretty decent guitars. I personally find that a lot of Squiers are fairly reasonably priced upgrade platforms. I know that doesn't answer OP's question about the wide range of instruments, just my 2¢ worth ...

Well, just within your list there, the Sonic series replaced the Bullet series.
Squier over the past 10-15 years is making amazing stuff.
Fun fact: The Affinity series Teles can have an ashtray bridge swapped onto them without any drilling, but the pickguards need some trimming if you swap them.

Good guitars for the money. Great modding platforms, but with some caveats.
My samplesize was not huge, but I had a Classic Vibe Esquire. Fantastic guitar for what I paid for it. I modded it hard. The one thing that I didn't love was the neck was super sensitive to temperature changes, so it needed constant adjustment. No biggie, tho. Truss rod worked fine.
The other thing was the frets weren't top-quality material. Granted, I do play pretty aggressively and like low action, but mine were showing signs of wear even at early stages when I had it. Much faster than the other guitars I had at the time, anyways. Probably not a short-term worry, but if you're heavy handed, bend a lot, and/or is you main guitar and play it a lot, might need fret jobs and possibly a refret more frequently than something nicer. I think that's something that I haven't seen mentioned a lot regarding Squiers... or lower-end guitars in general.
That being said, I still want another Squier at some point kind of as a beater guitar, or just as something different from my Les Pauls.

Those early ones that made it to the US were fantastic.

I love Squiers. As mentioned, they are great mod platforms. And if you want to do a little work, they can be great.
I have an Lake Placid Blue Affinity Tele that 's really pretty. Then I have an Olympic White Paranormal Tele that I customized with a neck swap and different pickups. Very cool. I also bought a CV 60s neck for a parts Tele with a thinline body.
The CVs are great instruments. The Affinity is also good. I wouldn't go any lower than that personally.

The Affinity series stuff plays nicely but the pickups are nowhere near the Roswell stuff that is OEM in the CV series. When I replaced the pickups in my wife's Affinity Tele for the Fender Jason Isbell set I just snipped the wires off them and they live on the fridge as magnets, now.
The only thing you need to do with a Squier Classic Vibe to get it gig ready is put your favorite strings on and set it up to your preferences. Anything beyond that is preference.
