Sounds great. Probably the most versatile Strat pickup I have heard. Frank, you showcased them nicely. Thanks so much!
ps. Frank, is it possible to post a pic of the strat, I'd like to see what it looks like with all Strabro 90s. May prompt me to buy a third one for the middle position.
Oh lordy... I may have to get one for the middle position and sell my surfers... Wow that sounds good. I knew the DC numbers didn't tell the whole story, that's the first time 15k has sounded like that. Well done guys, I'm really debating this now...
I get paid one week from today. Will be placing an order then. Sounds like a winner.
Frank, what humbuckers from the Duncan line do you see as being good matches for this pickup? I'd be interested in something that reacts to right hand inputs in a similar fashion while still being able to "keep up with" the P90 tone.
Great look, very subtle difference. I am guessing by the looks of the picture, the pickguard didn't need much if at all routing to fit the Strabro-90 in there. It is odd as I thought the screw poles would work better on the low E side. The slugs would thicken the tone more and I would think that would work better on the high E side. Guess I will have to try both directions.
There is a vision behind the difference, but you are free to flip it. From what I understand, the vision has to do with balancing the tone and magnetic structure, and this is the way it is put forth. This is the guitar from the sound clips, so that's the sound. It might be fun to flip only the neck or middle one.
Whoa!! MJ, you knocked that out of the park!! The look is very subtle difference, and the tone is awesome! Im not a big single coil player, so I wasnt paying much attention to this, but now I have to ask.. When do orders stop being taken???
November 30 if I'm not mistaken and I'm afraid it won't be enough time for the exchange rates to recover (that's more of a worry for us non-US bros but...)
