I´ll keep quiet as to what I think is a possible reason, as the distributor also makes their own PUs for basses and it could therefore be considered bashing ;)

this is a great sounding unit, although I have always questioned Guitar World & Guitar 1's reviews because they have so many ads (usually full page ones by the reviewed pieces..hmmm).
i just suggest anyone to try this out and hear for yourself, and don't ever take a magazine's review as the 100% truth.

Even though the SFX Series products are made in China, each and every unit is opened up in our Santa Barbara factory and goes through a battery of tests before we box it up and ship it out. The bottleneck is that we only have two testers. And they're the same guys who test the other SFX products as well as the D-TAR preamps.

The other part of the problem has to do with the commitment we made to filling Guitar Center's opening order. That about wiped us out.

The good news is that we're just now filling our European backorder and you should start seeing them on the shelves of music stores all over the world very shortly.

Thanks so much for your patience. As those who are lucky enough to have scored one will tell you, it'll be worth the wait.

I LOVE the SFX03. That will probably be my next pedal purchase. A generous forum brother loaned me one for a couple of weeks, and I was blown away by it.

I want a different color, though.:D

But for now I have to live with the TS9.

hmm ok... because the clips sound great, but I'd like to try one out too. Could be a nice one to have.

Congrats. That vid has the best sound samples I've heard from it yet. That makes me want one right there. I'd gladly test one or two out for ya. :D

To be honest, I really hated the bassy gain too high tones he was getting out of it when he started. He loves fuzz a little too much which is why those video reviews kind of bother me....

But when he was messing around with it, the low gain tones he got just sounded beautiful on both channels.. I think im gonna have to try it out.

Eh,...tough for me to get past that awkward knob layout...I guess it sounds ok, though.
