Hi,

I own a Shecter BlackJack Sls-c1FR-s,its a lovely guitar to me and love Almost everything about it. It has a sh-10 installed on the bridge side, and I just want the guitar to sound a bit smoother on the high frequencies, sometimes the sh10 sound a bit rough on my high gain distortion.

Here is my full setup if you have the time to check : https://www.facebook.com/notes/angrymachine-sazzad-arefeen/sazzad-arefeen-rig5314/517078881637077

Also here is a track I officially released recently with the Guitar and my full setup :

I am looking forward to something like the EMG 81 , but not EMG and of course passive from seymour , Please suggest :)

Looking forward to your replies!

Welcome to the forum! there are lots of things that would work for you. please give alittle more detail of the tones you like or want to achieve or the musical style you mostly play. (Im at work and cant listen to your clip) First thing that comes to mind is a custom. It has a good tonal spread and covers alot of ground for rock and blues. My favorite pickup is a Custom 8, where you take a Custom and put an alnico 8 magnet in it in place of the stock ceramic mag.
if you are leaning towards actives, then I suggest the seymour duncan blackouts over the emgs. The blackssouts have a more organic tone.
But a Custom, or Custom 8 would rip in that guitar

My band is followed by symphonic power metal, and has keyboards of course, I am more into stuff playing like neo classical styles and I use a lot of distortion and sustain too, that is why the sustaniac as well for :) , It would be good if you could check out the sound .

What you can do for free is tweak pickup height and polepieces. That's 14 screws altogether giving you a bit of room to dial it in.
