Shipping a guitar...

Well i'm moving tomorrow morning and we're just shipping my axes to my new place. All of my guitars have cases except my Warmoth so i'm wondering if there are any good ways to ship a Strat without a case? Should I loosen the strings or anything like that?

Shipping strat w/ o case: remove neck, pack neck and body well in a large box

If you don't want to go to that hassle, just loosen the strings and pack a beach towel wrapped around the neck. Then pack at into a long box with lots of good foam stuff around it. If you can double box it, so much the better.

Because you are sending it to yourself, you can use stuff like beach towels cuz you'll get them back.

Strats are pretty indestructible.
