Show us all your basses then...

Re: Show us all your basses then...

Wow. The neck on the black Warwick is HUGE, even for a sixer. That's like the Ron Jeremy of bass necks there.

It's a "broadneck," so it's got 20mm string spacing across the entire board (basically, the string spacing of a 4 string applied to a 6). Despite the size, it's a joy to play and actually very comfortable.

My 2000 Stingray and my 1997 Precision, currently sporting a MIM 50s neck.

Yes, I bought a new pickguard for the SR. No, it doesn't fit

Re: Show us all your basses then...

How does the double J pickup sound that close to the bridge? I have the same pickup on my MIG Streamer Pro M. On this model, the pickup is installed in approximately the "Stingray" position. I find the range of variation offered by the panpot Balance control disappointing.

Dunno. I only use the Precision pickup :D

Here's three of my five. The other two are at friends' houses. They are Kramers, one of which is a five string.

Re: Show us all your basses then...

Pay no attention to the Fernandes. It's long gone. The one on the right is a History I picked up in Japan made by Fujigen. It's a monster. It came with a clear pg which I promptly removed and lost (can't see it, dummy).

70-something Ripper. I bought it with that big stupid Dimarzio pup and added the Lawrence in a drunken frenzy. It actually sounds pretty good.

Re: Show us all your basses then...

Hey All,
First Post. My collection is rather small ATM. First up is a '89 Charvel B-1. It's actually all USA. It was part of the 'transition mutts' group of basses and guitars that were built with left over parts when the factory moved from San Dimas to Fort Worth. It has a FW neck plate, but the numbers stamped into the neck and the body are USA numbers.

next up, the newest on in the bunch, and I need to take a pick of the entire bass but i can't seem to put it down. A 2010 Schecter Stellito Studio 8str. I had a Hamer 12str in the late 80's and LOVED IT. still want to get another.

Twins Edit.jpg

The twins- Both are mid-80's Charvels. The one on the left has been my main guy for a few years now. It's a 2b that I named "The Beast" because it's a beast of a bass... I routed the body out w/ Seymour Duncan MM's and an STC tone circuit. It cuts through whatever mix it goes into no problem. :)

The one on the right is my new guy. A 3b named Heat. I bought Heat off of my buddy Chris who took it out in 2009 with House of Lords all over Europe. I saw some tour shots of him playing it and that gave me the idea to put MM's on the Beast... That was a few years before I actually knew I'd own THE bass!! It's got battle scars from all over the world... Gotta love it!! If only it could talk...

Both are insane playing and sounding basses. I love them. :) Now to add a few more to the collection.........
