Stratosphere. Uhhhhhhhh

Not the best run business. Ordered an SG husk on eBay. 2 days later Stratosphere said the guitar was sold to someone else, offered a different guitar (I declined and requested a refund).

A week passes. *Crickets*.

I call twice and email again...nothing

I file a claim with PayPal. Stratosphere finally responds that they thought they had processed the refund, but now when they try they get an error message--period. Apparently this is my problem? I provide claim number, screenshots, everything. They say they can't find the claim nor can they figure out how to issue the refund. I give up and tell them they need to contact PayPal and figure it out. *Crickets*

So they keep going dark on me. At this point I will get a refund at the end of the week simply because they failed to do anything. But I've been out $900 for 22 days.

I did order another husk from them before this all went south. Got it fast and it's very nice.

Super high volume seller. I guess if your order goes ok, you can get some nice stuff. If something goes wrong and you actually need customer service--good luck.

Hard to believe an eBay seller with 300k+ sales doesn't know how to process a refund?

I ordered a neck and got the neck in a few days a week ago.

But I ordered a Nespresso and didn't get everything (three days late delivering). Called customer service and they were boneheads. Asked me 4 times what was missing. Started a paypal claim for the undelivered item.

Why would you pay $900 for an incomplete SG?

You can get a used SG Standard for less if you shop around. Intact and in a case.

Doesn't work for everyone, but I have all the parts to complete it from another SG that I have to retire. I also already have a HSC. So I am getting a brand new plekked SG with better hardware and electronics for $900 instead of $1,799 + tax.

I usually end up yanking much of the hardware and electronics on my guitars, and I wind my own pickups, so I end up with a better guitar for less money this way.

I just got some tuners from them. The order didn't get shipped until five days after I bought them and for nearly a week the shipping number never updated. The sitting on the order for five days is on them but the shipping number not updating is on the USPS.

Man, I hate when companies do that. It is like they are selling them before they can locate, pack and ship them out. Always notate the shipping speed on feedback, even if it is good feedback.

I ordered from there before. I had ordered a Mighty Mite Tele body in butterscotch blonde (Esquire project). What I initially received was an unfinished Soloist style body routed for 2 humbuckers and a Floyd. Ummm, yeah, not exactly what I went for. It was taken care of promptly and he paid for the return shipping of it and sent the correct body out.
