Suggestions for my LP rewire (Fralin content)?

I just ordered a set of Fralin Pure PAFs to replace the 57 Classics in my 2001 Gibson LP Standard. They sound muddy and undefined compared to other pickups that I'm hearing. The Fralins are my favorites out of others like the Bonamassas and other Duncans.

So I ordered a set of zebra open coils. What other tips/suggestions do you have for making this install a great one that puts TONE first? I ordered 4-conductor pups. I've got a quad of unused CTS 500K long shaft pots to go in there. Any specific wire or caps to wire inline that may improve tone, even if just a hair? Take things to the next level?

I like the idea of the second switch on the Freeway site, but what in the holy hell is going on in the picture? Looks like all the switches just travel all over the place.

Fralins have great definition; a step or two above '57's.

Based on my experience thus far, I totally agree. Looking forward to getting 'em on Monday and putting them in my LP right away. Plus, I dig the zebra look over the chrome covered look.

Fralin Pure PAFs have been installed in my 2001 LP Standard and so far I'm really LOVING them. They're definitely not high gain (the bridge measures about 8.4K). Just so much clarity and articulation. And yet, they just SING whether used through the clean or the OD channel of my Splawn QR. This is the most I've ever spent on a pair of pickups ($260) and so far I am thrilled. I still think that it's hard to beat the good old JB/59 humbucker combo in most LP style guitars (which is why I've been putting them in mine for nearly 30 years). But there's something about these Fralins that's very "PURE" (LOL!), and yet, very big and 3D sounding. I may remove the Distortion/59 combo in my 1991 LP Studio and try a different set of Fralins, that's maybe a bit hotter. I had been looking at some Duncan Bonamassa, Seth Lover, and Antiquity pups for my Standard, but after A/B'ing a couple of used Reissue LPs at my local shop that had Fralins and Bonamassas in them, I found that I slightly preferred the warm vibe of the Fralins.
