Re: Talk To Me About Genz Benz G-Flex Cabinets
I know this post is coming about 8 years behind everyone here, but I stumbled upon this thread Googling the Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12. In response to some of the issues people were having with this cabinet, I have a solution. First, the stock speakers are crap. I would suggest either Celestion V30 or Eminence V128. This provided more clarity/tone. Also, I would suggest putting it on one of the Auralex GreatGRAMMA Isolation Risers. I know this is adding to cost, but if you can find the cabs out there cheap, it's worth adding the extra, and still come out better than a Marshall 1960 4x12. The ports/baffles are where you get the low end. And believe me, once you tame it it's phenomenal. Really no need for a 4x12 after you hear this.
