Tele wiring question

Re: Tele wiring question

What it the second .05 cap doing in this diagram? http://www.seymourduncan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Tele_1953.pdf

How would the sound or function differ from traditional wiring? http://www.seymourduncan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Tele_Standard.pdf

The second cap on the neck is a poor mans 'dark circuit', but that version is a complete fail because it's equivalent to having a tone control permanently rolled all the way down. You would be much better off with the original Esquire dark circuit which was a specific RC network of two caps and a resistor. The latter configuration would warm up the sound but still leak some treble - the result being if you flip to the neck pickup with the dark circuit engaged and played up by the neck, it would sound much like an archtop acoustic for rhythm/chord playing.

Re: Tele wiring question

Push/pull pot to turn the cap on and off in the circuit?

i just wouldn't have a song to need to do that with ( even a cover of someone ) regular Tone circuit would work for me . I kinda like the one just for the Bridge though .
