Well the low E on a bass IS two octaves lower than the high E on a six-string so...we're ALL right

And with OVER TWENTY FRETS, the no LIMIT to the number of notes you can play!

I'm not saying I'm an authority by any means. I did however go to B.I.T. and I played bass for 12 years in a band. I also stayed in a Holiday Inn Express once as well.

Mandolin is 4 octaves above the Dobro.

Where were you a month ago when I tore the bridge off my mando trying to tune it 5 octaves higher than my dobro?

Wait a second... I tune my dobro an octave down, so that can't be the problem.

I'm seriously thinking that I'm gonna put down a deposit though. They're sold out till the second half of next year. Been wanting to get another 7 string for a while, this would be even sicker .

Why not just skip ahead of the curb and graduate to a 9 string, with a low C#?

If you don't play in a band and you can get good at playing a bass line underneath the melody or just shredding all over that thing it would be pretty useful. I really considered that Ibanez 8 string when it came out, but I wasn't as good of a player then and it would have eaten me alive. I think I might be able to tackle one now.

What were we talking about again?
