sorry, I didn't mean to upset anybody, I just thought that a more diverse poll would better suit this board. We all play many differant kinds of music, which is great, so I figured we needed all sorts of differant options.

I can't comfortably say any of those styles comfortably. I've had the most experience playing classic rock and blues, but I mainly listen to modern music. I would say alternative, but it's not exactly the three doors down or nickelback type. I could say your category, but I don't play all that much of it. Let's just say my main influences are Jeff Beck and Billy Howerdell, also Slash, Hendrix, and Clapton.

Then maybe it's just easier to simply keep it open to replies and lose the poll? :duh: But graphs are nice too!

Anyway, Hard Rock/Metal for me. The occasional ballad keeps my head on.

Metal, a little George Lynch, some Jake E Lee, a bit of Zakk Wylde, some Kirk Hammett, and a good pinch of Marty Friedman.

I usually play fast hardcore punk stuff, pop-punk, metalcore, and rock...all that stuff.

I mostly play jazz standards, I also play in a Community College Big Band. I would say Pink Floyd type stuff is a close second however.

i said alternative but not like the bands that are listed under that name. im more 90's alternative like pearl jam, old weezer, soundgarden, chilil peppers, bands of that nature.

My style is punk/melodic hardcore.. but voted for this wired indie category.
