damn, I'm already old enough to see the evolution of kiddie/crap/suck music. I didn't think it would happen so soon. This Emo/Indie thing is more of a fashion statement and "look at me, I wanna be cool" rather than producing real music. Just another bandwagon fad, it'll pass, hopefully sooner than later.

I am a thrash metal kind of guy, but I aslo play classic rock stuff as well.

Some where between fusion and shredding, which might seem sort of like purgatory b/w hell and heaven but if u listen to some recordfing by satch u'll see what i mean. Half the time i got the distortion and compressor on for fast **** and half the time its clean and sort of compressed for jazzy type stuff.

I'm one of those weird guitarists who you can't list into a style, but I guess it'd be Progressive Rock mostly leaning towards the shred side, so I voted shred. I also like Latin music and 90's Rock like the old Lynch Mob, but I also like the creative riffs of the guy from Disturbed or Corrosion of Confirmity

Nice to see this one resurrected.

I am a mix of my favorite stuff. I was raised on alternative/grunge (Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Goo Goo Dolls, Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots all bigtime). I got into classic rock (Floyd, Cream, Peter Frampton, REO Speedwagon, Journey, Zepp, Van Halen etc.). Now I'm into a lot of blues-rock type stuff (SRV, Jimi, Kenny Wayne Shepherd band, Aerosmith's "Honkin' On Bobo", Joe Bonamassa, old Jonny Lang, Chris Duarte, John Mayall w/ Eric Clapton etc.)

I definitely hear it in my playing now. Just about everything I write has a definite blues rock feel, but that's the stuff that hits me the most

Punk/hardcore all the way! My band is a sort of melodic hardcore/metal band so I guess that is my style.
