The Custom/59 A5 hybrid is actually one that Back to Rock made, sold to BungalowBill, then sold to me. I wanted a vintage single that was strong enough to balance decently with it, so I found a Chubtone 63 bridge...about 7.2K.
The guard was a gift from Theodie.....so now I can't bag on him with gay jokes!
:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: I think he ordered it in HS from Warmoth with no holes drilled, so I drilled them where I wanted them. I have no cap on the volume pot, so I can darken it by rolling it back, taking the place of a tone knob.
Since pearl dust is the rarest Fender color, I had to specifically seek out Strat Plusses from the 90's with those colors. All the rest of the blue and silver guitars are taken from new American Series strats. To get those colors, I had to buy 2 Strat Plusses and 2 newish American Strats, then combine the best parts, and sell off the new bodies with the Strat Plus necks. I don't like metal nuts, and that's why I did that.
