Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

I just rejoined the Strat club after years of absence (blame it on Ibanez Jems and RGs), here. When it gets here I"ll have a white pearl pickguard waiting on it. Black with white guard and maple neck, schweet!

Don't these have a PG+ in the bridge?

I was watching that auction!! You got a good deal in my opinion, I love those Lonestars!! These do come from the factory with a Pearly Gates Plus in the bridge and two Texas Specials....I usually swap out for a JB in the bridge tho......and a 500k pot.

I wasn't too crazy about the black pickguard either.............

CONGRATS!

Hope I didn't cut out a forum brother! It did seem like a good deal, everyone is watching football right now, that makes it a good time to bid. I haven't tried a Lonestar, but I miss a Strat with a bridge HB, one of the most versatile guitars there is IMHO.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

No, you didn't cut me out! I have 6 HSS strats already, including a black/maple! If it had stayed at $500 I would have gone for it tho! You'll love the Lonestar, it is extremely versatile!

Very nice, man! I sure like those chrome pickguards. Are those hole covers actual hole covers or are they something you came up with?

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

The hole covers are actually strap pins that I think Dunlop makes I didn't like how they worked on the guitar as strap locks but man they were perfect for filling the void on the guard huh?

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

I really like that.. What year is that Model? Did you put on the pickguard/pots/pickups afterwards?
Sorry man, have'nt checked this post in a while...it's a late 90's Jimmie Vaughan. Replaced the shakey single ply guard, pups and knobs, did a mild relic...best neck ever! BTW, you have a killer Strat! Love that color and the gold guard rocks! Since I swapped the Aerodyne black bod on, Wattage has dibbs on the relic bod....DAMN! The R.F. Ratocaster is badass bro! Nice...very nice!:smokin:

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

as of last friday i am no longer in the club. tis a problem that will need to be fixed....most likely in the form of another usacg project once my tele is done.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

Daphne blue is nice, but Sonic blue is nicer, IMHO.
