Re: "The one that got away" stories
There have been a few that fit the orig scenario. Went back to stores and they were gone.. OR ebay where I couldnt get back on to bid. Cant really name specifics right now.
My biggest regrets are guitars that Ive had but sold..(there are many.) A few of my biggest ones:
1)My trans black Epi Ace Frehley. Most of you say MEH to an EPI.. But.. I sold it cuz it was so light, kinda felt like a toy.. HOWEVER... A couple back surgeries later, Id LOVE to have it back.. Plus, it was nice looking, great player, sounded great and the black was pretty rare..
2)Black Kramer Focus 6000. Got it dirt cheap, put new pups in it.. Sold it. Was near mint shape, played great and had this amazing woody 80s metal tone to it...
3)My Washburn WM526. pretty rare model, carbon epoxy board,(and other cool features) great player, and I had the only on in the world with the finish mine had.
4)LTD AT400ATS- Yeah, not really special per se, but. Got it cheap. Was very heavy, but sustained for days, nice big frets, Duncans. GREAT AXE!! Sold it cuz I thought Id prefer a traditional 4 knob set up.. Regretted selling ever since. And they are discontinued and rare on the used market. Prolly cuz they are beasts!!
I have other regrets too (USA Washburns, etc) but wont write em all out..
