i post these guys here because they are technical shredders and not Randy Rhoads or EVH kind....it was kinda hard choosing only 10 people so i picked the 10 well known.......

Tie bw Vai and Petrucci. I picked Petrucci because he's a pretty cool team player as well. Dream Theater pretty much kicks a$$. I don't like them vocals but the music is superfine. Not my type but brilliant.

Yngwie without a doubt. Incredible control and very melodic. He's got a personality disorder (I think) but is very talented. I also like JP from Dream Theater, but for pure, blistering shred, it's the Malm...

Shawn Lane might have been the fastest GOOD guitarist. His phrasing was very unique, and the speed was extraordinary.

Stever Morse is perhaps the greatest all-round technical guitarist. He has incredible technique and speed as well.

Neither one of these would be the typical "shredder"... not the same attitude at all.
